DNS leading to B.Sc. (Applied Nautical Science): 


Qualification :  

Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)
With Physics as an individual subject in one of the year of B.Sc., from a recognized University.
B.E./B. Tech. or its equivalent degree from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE.

For Other Sponsoring Shipping Companies - 60%

Marks :   Should have passed with not less than 60% marks in English as a separate subject, at either 10th or 12th
standard or in the Degree programme conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
Age :  

Not more than 25 years of age as on the date of commencement of course.

Medical Fitness :   Medically Fit
Eye-sight: 6/6 in each eye without visual aids & Normal colour vision.
Admission Procedure :  
It is mandatory for all the candidates to qualify in the Common Entrance Test conducted by IMU – Indian Maritime University.
The eligible candidates in all respects i.e. educational qualifications, age, physical and medical standards, eye-sight is advised to apply for the Common Entrance Test conducted by IMU. The admission for this programme is offered twice a year, i.e. in January/February and July/August.
Candidates who qualify in the Common Entrance Test conducted by IMU will be selected on the basis of Psychometric test / Written test / Interviews conducted by the institute.
Application / Registration Fees:  
 1500/-(Non-refundable) is to be submitted along with application form via DD in favour of 'Vishwakarma Maritime Institute' payable at Pune.
